Dog Days Training Center | Directions to Dog Days

Dog Days Training Center is just outside of Berthoud, at 1605 40-1/2 Road (See detailed map at the bottom of this page). It's an easy drive from Fort Collins and Loveland on US 287 or I-25; from Boulder, Longmont, and Lyons on US 287, or from Denver on I-25. WARNING: WE'VE HAD SEVERAL PEOPLE GET LOST WHEN USING GPS UNITS TO FIND US. Don't trust them and find us using the directions below.

When you arrive, pull up to the Training Barn, which is the third building on your right, have your dog on leash, and wait in your car until someone comes for you. US-287 from Loveland, Fort Collins: Head south on US-287 until US-287 begins to bend right (west) to go through downtown Berthoud. Just as the road turns, turn left in order to head straight east on State Highway 56. Proceed 2 miles east on State Highway 56 and turn right onto County Road 3. Head South 1-1/2 miles on County Road 3 and take the first left onto County Road 40-1/2. Dog Days is 1/2 mile on the left, with a white fence and a sign.

US-287 from Longmont: Head north on US-287 and east through downtown Berthoud. Where 287 turns north towards Loveland, continue straight east onto State Highway 56. Proceed 2 miles east on State Highway 56 and turn right onto County Road 3. Head south 1-1/2 miles on County Road 3 and take the first left onto County Road 40-1/2. Dog Days is 1/2 mile on the left, with a white fence and a sign.

CO-66 from Lyons: Head east from Lyons on Colorado 66 until you intersect with US-287 in Longmont. Head north on US-287 and follow the directions "US-287 from Longmont" above.

CO-119 from Boulder: Head from Boulder to Longmont on the Diagonal Highway, Colorado 119. Turn left (north) at Hover road, and continue to CO-66. Turn right (east) on CO-66 until you intersect with US-287 in Longmont. Head north on US-287 and follow the directions "US-287 from Longmont" above.

From I-25: Take the State Highway 56/Berthoud exit #250, and head west towards Berthoud on State Highway 56. After 1.8 miles, turn left (south) on County Road 5. After 1-1/2 miles, take the first right (west) onto County Road 40-1/2, and Dog Days is 1/3 mile on the right, with a white fence and a sign.

From CO-66 near Longmont (Dirt Roads): Head east on CO-66 and continue past the intersection with US-287. Travel 2-1/2 miles farther east on CO-66 to the first light at County Line Road. Turn left (north) on County Line Road, and travel north 5 miles to County Road 40. Turn right (east) on County Road 40 and travel 1 mile to County Road 3. Turn left (north) on County Road 3 and travel 0.4 miles north to County Road 40-1/2. Turn right (east) onto County Road 40-1/2, and Dog Days is 1/2 mile on the left, with a white fence and a sign.
