| The training at Dog Days is based on positive reinforcement involving both you and your dog. We'll give you the skills you need to build a solid foundation with a new puppy or teach your old dog new tricks. FACT: Only one dog in ten lives with their family for a lifetime. Training gives you a dog that will help change this statistic. Obedience is important, but so is your dog's temperament. Learning the tools that motivate your dog to work for you, because it works for them is a key element with dog training.
Puppy Preschool class sets the foundation for obedience work, but includes the socializing your pup needs to be polite with both humans and other dogs. Basic class builds on these skills, with a goal towards off leash control. Basic 1.5 class is for dogs who know the basic skills but aren't quite ready for Level 2. Level 2 class continues to work your dog with more distraction to keep its skills solid. These classes are held outdoors and will be on the schedule when weather permits. This advanced class gives you the chance to work your dog in a safe environment with other dogs. All new dogs (and their humans) meet with Laurie in a private lesson before attending a group class.
